Many of you have asked me about a Bible reading plan to use. I have been using a yearly reading plan for several years now that I really enjoy. It has several benefits. First of all, you read through the Bible once each year, which is a discipline that I believe EVERY Christian should cultivate. Second, this plan only has you reading in two places at a time, so you get larger portions of Scripture. Third, this plan has only 25 readings per month, which means that you get 5-6 days of ‘grace’ each month. That way if you miss a day here and there, you don’t get behind, then get discouraged and give up. Also, it is one page front and back and is designed to be folded in half and placed inside your Bible, so you have with you when you need it.

In addition to that, for those of you wanting new vision and fire from God, I have included a reading plan I created that gets you through the New Testament in either 30 or 60 days. Sounds daunting, but its really not. In fact, I read through the NT every month for about 6 months and was AMAZED at how much God used it to teach me, encourage me, strengthen me, love me and at times rebuke me! It was incredible and I highly recommend trying this for at least one month, maybe during April before the Easter season or during December when we remember Christ’s birth. May God’s Word make you “adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:17Open Link in New Window) in the pursuit of His glory!
